ARTWORK SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We are PC based, but we can accept Macintosh files that are properly prepared. We are a certified Adobe Print Service Provider. We generally work with Adobe Creative Suite programs, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Text must be converted when Macintosh files are sent.

Since we mostly print large format files, all text and any logos are preferred to be in vector formatted files. Converting text to outlines, shapes or paths insures that we will not need the exact font that you have to print the job. File formats .eps, .ai, .psd, .tif, .jpg are accepted.

CMYK FILES – PMS COLORS

Color matching from printer to printer is the biggest challenge that we face in satisfying the client. If color is critical, Pantone colors must be provided. Spot color matching requires a color proof to be provided for visual matching of colors. Laser printers used for proofs often use much more intensity than the four color printed range for large format prints. Laminates will change the colors dramatically and a choice of matte, gloss or luster overlaminate is available.

Images must be provided embedded in the design, and in 300 dpi for the best print quality. 150dpi for very large images is usually acceptable since most banners, billboards and vehicle graphics are viewed from a greater distance.

WORD PROCESSING PROGRAMS

Programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and Pagemaker are not acceptable for printing anything larger than standard 8-1/2” x 11” format. The fonts in these programs are not in vector format. We can convert text from some of these programs into our graphics programs and re-format them to print in larger formats.

LOGOS AND DESIGNS

We need all artwork in digital formats on CD. We can only scan from printed art and re-format to Adobe formats. Design/Set-up charges are $75.00 per hour. The first file submitted will incur a rip processing fee for converting files to the printer. Large format printing is available on outdoor durable solvent ink jet printers in 30” format and 54” format. We offer graphic art design services.

DIGITAL MEDIA CHOICES

We can print on Paper, Vinyls, (matte, and gloss), Vinyl Banners, Window Film, Nylon Fabric, Clear Vinyl for backlit signs, Transparency Film for lightboxes, Silver/Gold Metallic Film, Wallpaper Film, and many other specialty films are available.
